The Memorial Hall was built in 1887 and inaugurated as a men's reading room in 1889. It has been at the heart of village life for many years and the venue for a wide range of social activites.

The hall hosts the regular meetings of the Parish Council and the Community Trust. The Women's Institute meet here monthly, as does the Local History Group. The Art Club meet here every Monday and a WEA Art Class are held most Wednesdays in term time.

Most Saturday mornings the weekly 'Drop In' provides an opportunity for locals and visitors to meet up and have a cuppa and a chat. Most Wednesday afternoons locals gather to play whist.Every year, the Leek Club holds its competition and show in the hall.

The hall hosts periodical social events, such as fetes and teas - make sure that you don't miss them by looking up the Craster Diary.
