Present

Chairman                Bryn Owen.
Clerk                    Helen Brewis.
Parish Council Members    Joyce Shaw, Elizabeth Pearson, Alan Punton, John Gallon & Pauline Baird.
Apologies for absence    Michael Craster, Margaret Brooks, Richard Pearson & Martin Smith.

1723.    NCC Public Transport Letter Aug 2014 & changes to services 418, X15 & X18.
(Response to be in by 10th Oct.)
These proposals will half the amount of buses running during the winter months, (unfortunately NCC propose that the winter months will run until July).  John Gallon emailed AONB who believe the proposals are not as bad as they first thought, but they felt the winter timetable should end in time for the busy Easter weekend.
Action Point: John will draw up a response & forward to the Clerk to send to Ian Coe NCC Transport Support Manager & circulate to all Parish Councillors.
Proposed by Bryn Owen & seconded by Joyce Shaw. All in favour.

1724.     14/02919/FUL Harbour Lights alterations to rear & balcony.
(Response to be in by 12th Oct.)
Harbour Lights plans are currently with Martin who is absent from tonight’s Meeting.  Margaret spoke to Elizabeth & the Clerk about her concerns that the balcony is not in keeping with the area.  Next door to Harbour Lights the neighbour is worried that it may have an effect on their porch & the removal of walls etc. may have an impact on the foundations. The Parish Council considered the plans & some Councillors felt the plans were not easy to understand.
Action Point: Clerk to enter ‘no objection’ on the NCC website.

1725.    NCC– Joint Town/Parish Council Meeting Mon 13th Oct 6pm St James Church Hall Alnwick.
This Meeting between NCC & Town/Parish Councils is an ideal opportunity to meet & speak to the NCC Officers concerning our ongoing issues (parking, double yellow lines, Dunstan water leak, planning issues, affordable homes plots, bus services etc.).
Bryn Owen & John Gallon requested permission from the Parish Council to attend this Meeting as representatives of the PC & Craster community to make progression on our ongoing items.
Pauline felt that the lack of ongoing information on the work they are carrying out between Meetings made her feel like they did not trust the other members of the PC, & with the continuing emphasis on doing things properly & by the book that there should be regular updates via email or phone between Meetings. Elizabeth agreed & wished that the ongoing information was emailed around & when asked for an update – the update is forthcoming.
Bryn & John voiced their concerns that most of what they set out to achieve is being criticized.
Alan Punton proposed that Bryn & John be allowed to attend the NCC Meeting on behalf of the Parish Council & to update us all at the October Meeting, seconded by Joyce Shaw.

The next Meeting will be on Thursday 16th October 2014.
