NCC are not happy with
the gate access into the overflow field car park, if it’s to be open
more often it will need to be widened.
1538. Neighbourhood
Plan.
NCC – LDP Core Strategy –
Preferred Options Consultation. In circulation.
Bryn gave a slide presentation concerning the LDP Core Strategy which
will cover planning up until 2030, the consultation period will end on
20th March.
Once agreed & approved this plan will supersede the current Alnwick
Plan & will have to co-operate with Neighbourhood Policies.
There were 12,500 comments made during the Summer 2012 Consultation,
& there are still some areas to sort out - Housing, Employment,
Retail & Renewable energy.
In our area the main town developments are Alnwick & Berwick,
smaller towns – Seahouses.
Any development in other smaller areas the plan will be supportive
where:-
It’s appropriate in scale.
Maintains/enhances services/facilities.
Meets the needs & protects the countryside.
This plan has more scope than the previous plan & to help with
affordable housing there will be a contribution towards affordable
housing of 30% on house building (some exceptions in rural areas).
It will also support large-scale business & tourism & will be
more flexible which will be a benefit for our area.
1539. Matters arising from minutes of last meeting.
Dunstan Water Leak & Road Surface.
NCC will not allow us to
