1400. Apologies for absence. None.
1401. Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.
The Minutes were accepted as a true record.
1402. NWL Sewerage Update.
Charles from NWL has spoken to Michael Robson – NWL are hoping to be
able to cut the grass by the end of March & the water leak at 34
Heugh Road is due to groundwater – possibly a damaged field drain.
The tarmac which has been laid on Heugh Road is too high & may need
to be re-done, the contractors also knocked coping stones off a wall
whilst working.
Action Point: Clerk to contact Charles @
NWL concerning cars parking at the bottom of South Acres on the NWL
pumping station entrance and the concreted area over the top of the
excavations - they may need to erect a gate or chain.
Craster Community Trust Matters.
Action Point: Joyce Shaw will
put on the CCT Agenda the Queens Diamond Jubilee and whether we should
organise a joint celebration for the village.
1404. Matters arising from minutes of last
meeting.
Housing – Residential & Tourist. None.
Dunstan Water Leak. The water leak is
dry at present.
Mr J Gallon – harbour broken pipe & chain
fence.
The pipe has now been fixed & the chain fence remains ongoing.
Mr M Robson removed fencing from the inner car
park.
With the Highways Dept. at NCC.
Parking Sub Committee Update.
The Sub Committee are now clear about the traffic regulations required
to stop people from parking in the village who do not need to, but
these plans are still dependent on Scotts field being webbed &
turned into a permanent car park.
New Rubbish Bins.
An email has been received from NCC.
Action Point: Clerk to clarify whether
the charges relate to litter bins or grit bins.
Craster Outside Seats. Are in the process
of being done.
Norwell Brow overhanging bushes.
The Highways Dept. @ NCC are looking into this & the National Trust
have pruned back the bushes on their land.
Potholes ½ mile from Craster crossroads to West
Farm, Dunstan to Craster Pillars & Howick Scar to Pillars.
On NCC list.
Fly Tipping. The Environmental
Enforcement Officer at NCC has been to look at the problem & it was
agreed at tonights meeting not to persue this any further.
Embleton PC – Dunstansteads Parish Move to
Embleton PC. With NCC.
Mr J Gallon – Grit Bin opposite Dunstanburgh Road.
NCC will replace the grit bin.
Overgrown footpath opposite Tourist Information
Centre. Done.
1405. Planning Matters.
CC John Taylor declared an interest.
A/2008/0289 – Former Nursery Gardens – amendments.
Still with the Highways Dept. @ NCC.
11/01223/FUL – 3 Church Street first floor holiday
accomodation amendments.
Action Point: Clerk to inform NCC that we
are not happy with the plan till the parking is sorted, as far as we
are aware the parking spaces shown on the plan are on land owned by
Craster Estates who have not given them permission for it to be used.
11/01503/LBC - Craster Towers – installation of
photovoltaic system.
The application has been accepted.
1406. Financial Matters.

The Annual Return has been approved and accepted by the Council, and
the issue raised has been addressed.

Action Point: Clerk to put on the Agenda
for the next meeting.
NCC Local Service Delivery. In

NALC AGM & Annual Report. In
circulation.
Mr J Gallon – Ofcom Mobile Reception email. John
Gallon emailed Ofcom concerning the planned funding to improve mobile
phone signals, they replied that they do not hold the information on
where the funding is to be spent.
Mrs P Addy – Memorial Seat in Craster.
Action Points: Alan Punton will contact
Mrs Addy for more information & Bryn Owen will begin drafting a
parish council policy for new memorial seats.
Elizabeth Pearson – Damaged bus stop bin &
storm drain/road surface at the bus shelter in Craster.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC.
Items for Novembers Agenda.
Bushes from Craster Arch to the crossroads.
Team for snow clearing – possible candidates are Alan Punton, Michael
Robson & Anthony Baird.
Rota for visiting the elderly during bad weather.
Parking in the middle of Dunstan on the common field side of the road.
