1384. Apologies for absence.
Michael Craster, Alan Punton & Pauline Baird.
1385. Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.
The Minutes for the last Meeting were accepted as a true
record.
1386. NWL Sewerage Update.
The rectification work is still being carried out by NWL’s contractors,
& the stones are to be removed from the re-seeded areas.
Bryn Owen commented that there is quite an odour coming from the
Dunstan plant.
Action Point: Clerk to email Charles at
NWL to find out when the low wall will be built around the tank at
South Acres.
1387. Craster Community Trust Matters.
The Community Trust has received a sizeable donation from Miss Alison
Newbiggin towards the cost of the Hall’s refurbishment.
1388. Matters arising from minutes of last meeting.
Housing – Residential & Tourist.
CC John Taylor is looking into the status of all the
empty properties in the area.
Craster Sea
Erosion. The coastal walk path has been re-opened & the
AONB are looking to upgrade the path on their Capital Scheme.
Dunstan Water Leak. NCC are starting a
major reinstatement of drains & gullies in the area, but first CC
John Taylor will meet with Mr R Landale from Sale & Partners for a
site visit.
Mr J Gallon – footway along the west harbour
wall & broken pipe.
The footpath has been repaired but not the broken pipe.
Action Point: Clerk to email Sale &
Partners for an update.
Mr M Robson Overhanging branches in inner car
park & removed fencing. Joyce Shaw has found the Minutes
from 1996 concerning ADC erecting the original fencing.
Action Point: Clerk to photocopy Joyce’s
notes & pass on to CC John Taylor to take to NCC.
Parking Sub Committee Update.
Action Point: Clerk to give the Sub
Committee this years LT Plan for their attention.
Review of Local Services. The Meeting
with NCC has now been finalised.
Craster Outside Seats.
Action Point: Clerk to email Pauline for
an update.
Norwell Brow overhanging bushes.
NCC are looking into it & will write to the residents concerned.
NCC – Review of Polling Districts & Polling
Places.
CC John Taylor produced a map showing the Craster Polling Area.
NCC – Planning Training Events.
Bryn Owen attended the Meeting in Morpeth, the main topics of
discussion were Parish Plans & the planning process becoming more
computerised. Councillors will be able to register for emails on
planning applications.
Planning Officers do listen to Parish Council views before making their
final decision.
6-1 in favour for internet registration & more training.
Action Point: Clerk to contact the
Planning Department for more information about the scheme.
Well Style Footpath.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC about
the overgrown path behind the Lifeboat Station.
Potholes ½ mile from Craster crossroads to West
Farm, Dunstan to Craster Pillars & Howick Scar to Pillars.
CC John Taylor has already notified NCC who will shortly be doing our
area for road maintenance.

Mr J Gallon – HMRC Parish Clerk PAYE. The
Parish Councils who have contacted HMRC have been given different
responses, therefore NALC are recommending that we carry on self
assessing at present until HMRC reply to their queries.
Clerk has written to HMRC & is waiting for a reply.
Alnwick Playhouse – update. Noted.
Craster on line Website.
Action Point: Clerk to put on the Agenda for the
September Meeting to discuss whether we are happy with the use of the
parish council part of the website.
9.30am Travelsure Bus.
Action Point: CC John Taylor will check whether this bus
has been removed from service.
Flying Tipping.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC concerning the
rubbish bags which have been dumped below 19 Heugh Road & the
playground, photos have been supplied by Michael Robson.
Burial Board.
A complaint has been received concerning grass cuttings
over flowers on the graves.
