minutes of
last meeting.
The Minutes for the November Meeting & The Dunstan
Steads Farm Planning
Application Meeting were accepted as true records.
1421. NWL Sewerage
Update.
Two NWL men have been out to inspect the sealed manhole
covers on Heugh Road
& the trees planted at the Dunstan site have nicely finished off
the works.
Action Point: Clerk to email Charles Harman again
about the entrance
to their South Acres site, after a recent fishing competition the NWL
area was
used by visitors to avoid paying for parking. Once
the new parking charges come into force from
March there will be an
increase in parking problems in the residential areas.
1422. Craster Community
Trust
Matters.
Queens Diamond Jubilee Beacons will be discussed at
their next Meeting.
1423. Parking Sub
Committee
Update.
NCC – Public Transport Strategy 2011-16 Consultation
Draft (emailed to the
Sub Committee members).
Michael Craster has spoken to English Heritage who are
not hopeful at being
able to help with Crasters parking problems.
Simon Lee who is in charge of this area for the National
Trust will look
into the parking problems and advise.
The Sub Committee would like to include residents of
Dunstan Steads to
discuss their parking issues – all were in favour.
1424. Matters arising
from minutes of last meeting.
Housing – Residential & Tourist.
Northern Rural Housing Week 2012. This
will be held at Lesbury & will cost £50 per
person, CC John
Taylor is attending and will report back.
Dunstan Hill Farm has been sold & the tenants in the
4 houses have been
served with eviction notices.
Dunstan Water Leak. Ongoing
Mr J Gallon – harbour chain fence.
This has not been done yet, it was decided not to
pursue this any
further.
Mr M Robson removed fencing from the inner car park.
Action Point: Michael
Robson
will draft a letter to the Gazette to highlight our concerns about the
safety
issues within the car park.
New Rubbish Bins.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC to request a
bin for the bus
shelter at Dunstan, and the 2 bins which are sited at the far end of
the inner
car park to be re-located next to the meter & fixed in place so
they can’t
blow away.
Potholes.
Action Point: Clerk
to
re-contact NCC as the potholes haven’t been repaired yet, and to notify
them of
the one on the left hand side of Windyside Bridge.
Mr B Owen – Parish Council Memorial Seat Policy. Completed.
Elizabeth Pearson – Damaged bus stop bin & storm
drain/road surface
at the bus shelter in Craster.
NCC have emailed to say that they will look at this
shortly & get back
to us.
Bushes from Craster Arch
to the
crossroads.
Action Point: Michael
Craster will
prune them.
Signage for Tower Bank to highlight the dangers.

All the following planning applications are pending
consideration on the NCC

11/01223/FUL – 3 Church Street first floor holiday
accomodation
amendments.
11/02793/FUL – Dunstan Steads Farm plans.
11/03210/FUL – The Haven. No
objection to the plan, however we note there was no land registry
boundary
document enclosed which would show the land owned by the applicant and
where
the public footpath is situated.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC Footpaths
Officer to check on the
public footpath position. Also Clerk to
request the NCC regulations in notifying neighbouring properties of
planning
proposals as Mrs Mackenzie who owns land next to The Haven has not been
notified.
11/03278/FUL – Jolly
Fisherman. At present we oppose this
plan due to lack
of information which we are waiting for - Bryn to email the Clerk with
the
questions raised.
11/03411/FUL – Dunstan Hill Camping & Caravan
Club. No objections, although we
request the
access & exit to be conditioned.

Mick Oxley – Official Signage. CC John Taylor met
with Mick & he
will take this up with County Highways, all the local benefiting
businesses
will need to contribute towards it & John is waiting for prices. John will also look into a sign to say
‘Castle -walking only’ to try & cut down on the amount of visitor
car
traffic on Dunstanburgh Road.

Bus Timetables.

contact NCC to request correct bus timetables for Dunstan & Craster
West
End bus stop (above the lifeboat
station).
Neighbourhood Plan.
Action Point: Bryn
Owen will
create a Neighbourhood Plan draft for the next Meeting.
Footpath from South Acres Pumping Station to the
style gate.
Action Point: Clerk
to
contact the NCC Footpath Officer concerning the footpath erosion which
is
causing walkers to slip & fall.
Village Hall Refurbushment.
The Hall will close for approximately 3 months from
April whilst the work is
carried out.
Action Point: Michael
Craster
will ask permission for the Parish Council to hold their Meetings in
the Church
whilst the Hall is closed.
