1331. Apologies for absence.

1332. Confirmation of minutes of last meeting.
The Minutes of the November Meeting were accepted as a
true record with one alteration – CCT Matters the voting rights for the
PC representative was inaccurate & discussed again at tonight’s
meeting.
1333. NWL Sewerage Update.
The NWL cheque has been received for £13,001.14 (the
£1.14 is interest).
Action Point: John Gallon will check for
the best interest rates on saving accounts for the next meeting.
Action Point: Clerk to forward the
email from Mark Johnston@NWL concerning the minor maintenance work
required to Michael Robson as a point of contact.
1334. Craster Community Trust Matters.
The voting rights for the Parish Council representative on the
Community Trust was discussed. It was agreed that if a CCT matter
created a conflict of interest with the PC then the PC rep. would
abstain from voting & bring the matter back to the PC who would
then vote & take the response back to the CCT.
Mrs Joyce Shaw is now the CCT Acting Chairperson & Rosie Robson
will take over the role of secretary this month.
The Parish Council passed their thanks on to Mr Ridley for his work as
Chairman for the CCT.
1335. Matters arising from minutes of last
meeting.
Grass Verge Outside The Church.
CC John Taylor has been given a price of £9,000.00 for the webbing, he
will look into alternative contractors. We won’t need planning
permission for the work and CC John Taylor has £2,000.00 put aside
towards the scheme.
Double Yellow Lines & additional Car Parking
Places.
NCC are busy reviewing all road lines & signage.
Affordable Housing Policy. - Affordable Rural
Housing Guide.
Michael Robson had contacted NCC concerning council house covenants,
but the reply was not very informative.
Action Point: CC John Taylor will
look into which houses within Craster have a covenant on them and if
any are in breach.
Fireworks & Chinese lanterns.
The Watch Manager at Alnwick Fire Station will chase up the Fire Safety
& Arson Task Force Dept. concerning any relevant literature/posters.
Craster Harbour
Overflow Pipe.
The overflow pipe has been inspected & it will be repaired in late
spring when the weather has improved.
Councillor Vacancies. Letters of acceptance
Mick Miller at NCC has confirmed that they have received no requests
& therefore we can co-opt new Councillors.
Mr Bryn Owen & Mrs Margaret Brooks have both put their names
forward.
A vote was taken which unanimously agreed to co-opt them both onto the
Parish Council.
Dunstan Footpath post near the bus stop.
NCC Area Countryside Officer will try & have the post
repaired/replaced as soon as possible for us.
Mrs M Gallon – Dunstanburgh Road road surface.
This will be checked once the NWL work has been completed.
Mrs M Gallon – Norman Reid Memorial Seat.
The National Trust is looking at removing the seat because it’s
corroded beyond repair.
Mr J Gallon – Mobile Reception.
John Gallon is waiting for costings for a small mobile phone reception
station in Craster where you will be able to pay a nominal charge to
receive reception & visitors will also be able to buy access.
NCC Parking Strategy Consultation – 29/11/10. Cancelled
due to the weather.
Mr M Craster – Donation from the NWL money to
the Alnwick Playhouse.
Everyone agreed that the Playhouse is a brilliant facility & it’s
unfortunate that their grant has been cut and that they’re in financial
trouble.
Michael Craster suggested making a donation from the NWL money of
possibly £100 to help them. Alan Punton reminded the Council that
it had been agreed that the NWL money would be spent on schemes within
the village.
It was agreed not to make a donation.
Dunstan Water Leak.
Billy Pringle at NCC has had the gully wagon in Dunstan although there
was still snow on the ground, the clerk has emailed Mr Pringle to let
him know that the water is still running.
Craster Sea
Erosion.
Action Point: Clerk to contact NCC
Footpaths Officer concerning the state of the coastal footpath from
behind the bus shelter along the back of the play field to the hole in
the dyke as its been eroded due to the weather conditions.
1336. Planning Matters.
CC John Taylor declared an interest.
A/2010/0402 – 3 Smithy Court Dunstan – 1 new
dwelling. Bryn Owen declared an interest. No objection.
A/2010/0437 – Dunstan Steads Farm Buildings.
No word has been received from NCC as to whether planning permission
has been given.
A/2010/0492 – 11 Heugh Road extension.
No objection.
A/2010/0486 – 3 Church Street holiday accom. flat.
Action Point: Clerk to forward a copy of
the letter received from Mrs J Mackenzie to NCC concerning the parking
problems on Church Street etc.
A/2010/0520 – 3 Dunstan Square – replace front
porch. No objection.

CC John Taylor attended a Precept Meeting on Monday night where it was
decided that no alterations will be made till next year & there
will be one to one consultations with all parishes before the end of
August.
Action Point: Clerk to put this on
the Agenda for next month so we can discuss what services we may need
to include in next years precept.
